Go to your local pet stores, pet feeding, whatever. Look at their fish. See how well they tend the little guys, same goes for other aquarium life.
If their tanks are filthy, then the animal is more than likely neglected. They’re either unfed, and forgotten about, or sick and near death.
So far, my friend keeps running into neglected Betta fish. Some of you may think “Oh, it’s just a fish!”, no, they’re living creatures and they’re damn smart, too. Gorgeous little critters, who are over medicated. Some of them are even forgotten about, and slowly die off in their isolating cup.
Fish have so much personality, more than one would think.
Yes, you cannot cuddle, and kiss these little pets. You cannot take them for walks, but you can watch them, talk to them, and feed them. They love it when they’re spoken to, and they love it when you change things up. Fish can get depressed, and fish can die off due to depression.
If you’re considering a new pet, or if you’re at the store getting whatever you need for your other animals, take a gander at the fish. See how they’re doing and if you see one sick, point it out to those who work there. Don’t let a fish suffer.
Same goes for the other scaly and fuzzy babies.
YES. The poor little fish! At the Petco I clean...(not going to say which one),
